Pray for Laura

Last week I met a girl who wants me to marry her and her fiancé in September. I was able to explain a little of what we as a church are doing here and she and two friends turned up at church this Sunday.

They all enjoyed the service and were challenged by the gospel message.

Praise God for these opportunities.

Busy Sunday

We had a great service in Benalmádena, we then went on to minister the word at the church we will be taking over in May, it was well received from what I could tell. Later we took the young people out for a social time. Playing pool and eating, Melissa is doing really well coping with all we have to do in our heavy schedule.

Please pray as we may have to exchange our 6yr old peugeot for a new car. We were given a 1500 euro estimate. Even though we would have to pay the new car off monthly it maybe worth it because of the amount of times we use it. We need a reliable car. Please can you pray that God will guide us in this.

Thanks for your ongoing support.

Every blessing

Three kings

Well we haven't quite taken down the Christmas tree just yet. Tomorrow evening the three kings arrive across Spain distributing gifts to the little ones. There will be parades in most towns and the kings will throw hard boiled sweets at the crowds waiting for an injury. Feliz Navidad a todos!!!

New year and the mission continues.

Its a new year in Spain, but still many of the problems continue. The unemployment rates are very high and many families are struggling. Last night we were in Benalmádena town centre celebrating the new year and one of the band members on stage got on the mic to critizise the government in Madrid. Encouraging people not to vote as all politicians are corrupt.

We can however do all things through Christ, we are believing that God has a plan for Spain. Please continue to pray for Spain this year, and pray for us as we continue to minister to the beautiful people of Spain.

Happy new year

Well I cannot believe we are at the end 2013 already. God has blessed us so much and we want to thank all our supporters each one of you has helped us to stay in ministry. One highlight has been the new arrival of Paul Hudson to Elim missions, I now feel very optimistic after hearing pauls vision for the future.

We wish you a prosperous new year and Gods richest blessing for 2014.

Well I am very tired this morning, because we have just arrived back yesterday from a weekend retreat with 20s and 30s age group (TNT. We spent a few days in an old farmhouse in the andalucian countryside. The setting was idyllic and it provided a great environment for encountering God. The weekend theme was all about Intimacy with God and unity with each other. I taught on the 3 steps to intimacy and we had a video of American Pastor from the bayside church, Chris Brown talking about intimacy with God in a famine. The whole weekend had the hallmark of God on it and everybody came back shattered which is also an indicator that everybody enjoyed it. This group has grown from around 4 to 15 people and we are encouraged by the way God is blessing this ministry. Please pray for Naomi, Melissa and I, that God will continue to use us to minister to the dear folks of Spain. P.s the temperature can be around 38 to 45 this time of year! el scrorchio!!

We are about to take our 20s and 30s group away to house in the country for a weekend away. We will be teaching about growing more intimate with God. This group (although quite transient, like the rest of the church) is flourishing and they have now started the very own worship band. They will be coming with me as I guest speak at a church in Marbella this September. One girl came last year for about 5 months rededicated her life to the Lord, she then got married and moved to Australia. So we are sometimes just there for people at the right time. We meet bi-weekly in the church to worship God too!
